“Today Is My Peaceful Day”

Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra’s advice for cultivating peace is to commit each day.

Awaken by attending to your bathroom needs. Avoid turning on your cell phone. (Checking your cell phone first thing in the morning is correlated with higher stress and heart disease, so it’s great advice!)

Before you start your day, sit down and write, “Today is my peaceful day.”

Writing is a powerful process that can do so much! It can help us to process, clarify thoughts, enhance intention, and even change the way that we think!

This is a simple practice that everyone can do to improve peace within and without.
